The Temporal Artery Thermometer is an accurate temperature scanner that is used by gently pushing the unit to the forehead. It's fast, accurate and non-invasive! It comes complete with a 9volt battery so that it's ready to use out of packaging! There is no need for probe covers, you can quickly and quietly use on a child when sleeping and not interrupt their sleep, and it's for the entire family!

The way it works is by pressing it directly on to the temporal artery. Why that artery? It's connected to the heart via the carotid artery, it has the constant blood flow needed for accuracy, and it's the most comfortable place imaginable.



So, we haven't had any sick kids lately (it was the first 2 full months in the year, wish I had this then!) but I decided to try the thermometer on the kids anyway ... Throughout the past weekend I walked around testing and retesting temperatures. I even did it on my girls when they were sleeping! So, my thoughts are this ... O!M!G! what a great product! All I had to do was press the button, hold it and scan it across the forehead, then release the button. It was that easy. And 4 out of 5 times it was dead on with my ear thermometer!
