A friend is having a NYE party at their community center in their development. So we are heading there.

Currently laying in bed hoping that my parents don't decide to have a party so we can just relax. Laziness, I know.

We're going to have my friend and neighbor Maggie over and drink some wine and have some snacks while we watch the ball drop.

I know I will fall asleep by ten and wake up after the ball drops we are staying home, and we will celebrate with the girls at 8 pm, with sparkling grape juice. Then they will get to bed and we will watch tv and get to sleep, too. The kids are in for a rude awakening when we are up at 7:15 and at the bus stop soon after on Jan 2.

HOme alone! Paul got stuck in NM...his buddies Semi broke down and it got too dark and cold for them to fix it, so they have to stay overnight.

I am too nice and let Kris and Ana go with their dad even though it was my time. They hadn't seen him for a while due to holiday schedule and Kris asked if they could ... ... I caved. I can't stoop to his father's level.

Ugh stupid new years. What is it with people who think they can set off fireworks late into the night. The kids who should of been in bed at 8pm didn't go to sleep until almost 2 because they were terrified of the booms. The neighbor directly behind us decided that they could set off fireworks in the common green area behind our house. 4ft from my children's bedroom. They are lucky that they didn't get the crap beat out of their drunk butts and that my husband didn't end up in jail. Yup, great way to start the new years. So much for relaxing and sleeping early. :/
